「いくとぴあ食花」にはウサギやモルモットなどの小動物、ヤギやヒツジ、アルパカなどの家畜、カピバラなどたくさんの動物を見たり、触れ合うことができたりします。
ここでは「いくとぴあ動物ふれあいセンター」で実施している動物とのふれあい体験を紹介します。
動物のエサやり体験
動物ふれあいセンターにいるヤギ、ヒツジ、アルパカにはセンター受付で購入できる野菜を与えることができます。
また、月に１回程度にポニーがやってきてお子さんは乗馬の体験をすることができます。ポニーにもエサやりをすることができます。
ヤギの乳搾り・ほ乳体験
「動物ふれあいセンター」では毎年、ヤギとヒツジが出産します。
生まれた子ヤギは母ヤギからお乳をもらって育ちますが、母ヤギのお乳を搾ったり、絞ったお乳を子ヤギにお乳をあげることができます。
ヒツジとアルパカの毛刈り
ヒツジとアルパカは品種改良された家畜なので、毛が抜けずに伸び続けます。
なので、毎年、暑くなる前に毛刈りが行われます。「動物ふれあいセンター」では毛刈りの様子を実演していて見学することができます。
ウサギとアルパカのお散歩
動物ふれあいセンターのウサギとアルパカは「いくとぴあ食花」にある大型庭園内でお散歩を実施しています。
お散歩を一緒に楽しんだり、ふれあいや一緒に記念撮影をすることもできます。
