【観光紹介】潮風と海鳥に会える旅、遊覧船で笹川流れ（新潟県村上市）
笹川流れは、新潟県村上市にある海岸で、国の名勝や天然記念物にも指定されている地域です。
日本百景にも選定された県下でも有数の海岸景勝地でもあります。
全長11キロメートルに及び、その間に奇岩や絶壁、洞穴が連なっています。
笹川流れの美しさを堪能するなら、遊覧船は外せません。出迎えてくれる眼鏡岩や恐竜岩などの奇岩は圧巻です。
おおよそ30分の船旅の途中では、ウミネコなどの海鳥に餌付けができ、お子様も楽しむことができます。
乗船上のそばの待合場には、お土産屋やお食事処もあり、特産品やここでしか食べることができない限定バーガーなども販売しています。
ちょっとした船旅を味わいたい方には、是非ともお勧めしたい体験です。

【お知らせ】小諸市動物園、新しい仲間を加え、プレオープン!!
小諸市動物園は来年で開園１００周年を迎えます。
１００周年を迎えるにあたり、これまで段階的に施設の再調整が進められてきました。
今月、４月１日からはリニューアルに先立ち、一部改装の終えた獣舎のお披露目として、施設がプレオープンしました。
ポニーやミニブタなどを含め、４か所の獣舎が新しくなり、今年の２月には寄贈されたポニーのポン太とモカが新しく仲間に加わりました (^-^)
今年の６月から来年の３月末まで工事の為休園しますが、休工日の日曜日のみ開園しています。
この機会にぜひ、新しくなった小諸市動物園をご覧にお越しください!!

【お知らせ】アザラシの赤ちゃん誕生!!（マリンピア日本海）
2025年4月4日に新潟県にある水族館「マリンピア日本海」でゴマフアザラシの赤ちゃんが生まれました。
マリンピア日本海でゴマフアザラシが出産するのは６年ぶりで、白い体毛に包まれた愛らしい姿は来館する多くの人を釘付けにしました。
赤ちゃんが生まれたのは４日の10時頃で、性別はメス、出生時の身長が83センチ、体重は11キロでした。
母親の「きなこ」は秋田県の男鹿水族館GAOの出身で、今年で８歳になります。
また、生まれた赤ちゃんはきなこにとって第一子になります。
アザラシの赤ちゃんはお母さんを呼ぶために大きな声で鳴いたり、手足をばたつかせて元気な姿を見せてくれました。
２日目にはプールの中で泳ぎまわり、母アザラシからもお乳をもらい体重も１.5キロ増えて順調に成長しています。
ゴマフアザラシの赤ちゃんの特徴である白い体毛は、生後２～３週間程度で抜け落ちてしまいます。ぜひ、この機会にご覧にお越しください (^-^)

【お知らせ】ヤギとヒツジの出産ラッシュ（新潟市）
春は多くの牧場でヤギやヒツジが出産のシーズンを着かえる時期です。
先日も新潟にある「新潟市アグリパーク」で飼育されているヤギとヒツジが出産しました。
こちらの施設では施設に訪れた見学者の方が、実際にヤギやヒツジの出産に立ち会われることもあるそうです。
生まれてから間もないヤギやヒツジの赤ちゃんを間近で観察できるのは貴重な体験です。
また、同じく新潟にある「いくとぴあ食花 動物ふれあいセンター」でも、出産を控えたヤギとヒツジに会うことができます。
これからの季節は生まれた子ヤギや子ヒツジが駆け回り、成長していく姿を見ることができるので、機会があれば、ぜひお越しください (^-^)

魚の市場通り【新潟県西蒲区】
新潟県長岡市寺泊にある通称”魚のアメ横”
新鮮な海鮮が並んでいて、買い物だけでなく浜焼きや漁師汁など、食べ歩きを楽しむことができます。
通りに立ち昇る浜焼きの匂いが食欲をそそります。
浜焼きの海鮮類もボリュームがあり、食べ応えがあります。浜焼きも注文をすると焼き直してくれますので、焼き立ての浜焼きを食べることができます。
市場にはジェラート類を販売しているお店もあり、「シルクロード・寺泊Komachi」では地元の塩を使った潮ソフトというものもありました。
他にもかき氷やシェイク、地ビールや甘酒も売っていました。
浜焼き以外にも総菜や海鮮弁当、海鮮茶屋もあるので海鮮グルメを十分に堪能することができます。
活気もあり新鮮でボリュームのある海鮮グルメを味わうのはおススメのスポットです。

マリンピア日本海：イワトビペンギンの特別解説
マリンピア日本海では1990年に６羽のミナミイワトビペンギンが投入されて、飼育が開始しました。
2017年の６月には飼育されていた繁殖個体は1993年6月6日生まれのオス１羽のみとなりました。
この１羽も高齢に伴うケアも必要になった為、バックヤードでの飼育に切り替わり、ミナミイワトビペンギンの展示も終了となりました。

片目は怪我で見えなくなり、もう片方も白内障を患っています。
今年で31歳になりますが、バックヤードでも天気の良い日には日光浴をして過ごしているそうです。
また、目が見えないのでエサをあげる時に壁を叩いて教えてあげたり、エサの量も体重を見ながらその日の食欲に合わせて調節しているそうです。

展示は終了になりましたが、マリンピア日本海では不定期にバックヤードにいるミナミイワトビペンギンを公開し、間近で観察しながら解説イベントを実施しています。

「新潟市アグリパーク」のふれあい体験
「新潟市アグリパーク」では農作物の収穫や家畜とのふれあい体験、収穫した野菜を使った調理体験などを行うことができます。
ここでは「新潟市アグリパーク」で実施している動物とのふれあい体験を紹介します。
動物のエサやり体験
新潟市アグリパークには乳牛、ヤギ、ヒツジを飼育していて、ヤギとヒツジには受付で牧草やニンジンなどのエサを購入して与えることができます。
ウシの乳搾り・エサやり体験
「新潟市アグリパーク」では事前予約をすることで飼育しているウシの乳搾りを体験することができます。
また、乳搾り体験の中でウシに牧草を与えることもできます。
ウシの機械搾乳の見学
アグリパークで飼育しているウシは乳牛なので、毎日の搾乳が欠かせません。
乳搾りの体験も行っていますが、それでは十分な量のミルクを搾り取れません。
なので、ポンプを使ってミルクを搾り取ります。
また、土・日・祝日のみですが、実際にスタッフが機械を使って搾乳している様子を見学することができます。
ヤギのお散歩体験
アグリパークでは動物とのふれあいの他に、ヤギとのお散歩体験をすることができます。
事前予約が必要で人数は3組程度ですが、ヤギと一緒にお散歩しながらエサやりをすることができます。
ヤギ、ヒツジ、牛の放牧
新潟市アグリパークにいる動物たちは天気の良い日は放牧場で自由にお散歩をさせます。
ヤギやヒツジは毎年春ごろには子どもを出産するので、ヤギやヒツジの赤ちゃんが元気よく放牧場を駆け回る姿を見ることができます。
また、体験畜舎が開くまでの９時頃から１０時の間にウシの放牧も行われます。

「いくとぴあ食花」の動物ふれあい体験
「いくとぴあ食花」にはウサギやモルモットなどの小動物、ヤギやヒツジ、アルパカなどの家畜、カピバラなどたくさんの動物を見たり、触れ合うことができたりします。
ここでは「いくとぴあ動物ふれあいセンター」で実施している動物とのふれあい体験を紹介します。
動物のエサやり体験
動物ふれあいセンターにいるヤギ、ヒツジ、アルパカにはセンター受付で購入できる野菜を与えることができます。
また、月に１回程度にポニーがやってきてお子さんは乗馬の体験をすることができます。ポニーにもエサやりをすることができます。
ヤギの乳搾り・ほ乳体験
「動物ふれあいセンター」では毎年、ヤギとヒツジが出産します。
生まれた子ヤギは母ヤギからお乳をもらって育ちますが、母ヤギのお乳を搾ったり、絞ったお乳を子ヤギにお乳をあげることができます。
ヒツジとアルパカの毛刈り
ヒツジとアルパカは品種改良された家畜なので、毛が抜けずに伸び続けます。
なので、毎年、暑くなる前に毛刈りが行われます。「動物ふれあいセンター」では毛刈りの様子を実演していて見学することができます。
ウサギとアルパカのお散歩
動物ふれあいセンターのウサギとアルパカは「いくとぴあ食花」にある大型庭園内でお散歩を実施しています。
お散歩を一緒に楽しんだり、ふれあいや一緒に記念撮影をすることもできます。

ヤギのお散歩体験 – 新潟市アグリパーク –
新潟市アグリパークでは動物とのふれあい体験の他、野菜の収穫体験や料理体験、
バーベキューなど自然の中での様々な体験を行うことができます。
今回は新潟市アグリパークで行われているヤギのお散歩体験について紹介します。
アグリパークにはヤギとヒツジ、乳牛が飼育されています。
普段はヤギやヒツジなどにエサやり体験でニンジンや牧草を与えることができます。
お散歩体験は予約者限定で参加することができます。
今回お散歩で登場したヤギは去年生まれて今年の６月にお母さんになったばかりの
「よもぎ」ちゃんです。
お散歩には子ヤギさんも一緒に参加してくれました (^-^)
お散歩するヤギさんにはリードが２本ついているので、ご家族で一緒に散歩することが
できます。
飼育員さんも一緒にリードを持ってくれるので、小さなお子さんでも安心して参加する
ことができます。
お散歩の参加者にはニンジンも配られ、お散歩をしながらヤギさんと楽しくふれあうこと
ができます。
ヤギのお散歩は中々体験できる場所もないので、とても貴重です。
新潟市アグリパークでは農業や畜産、食文化に関する様々な体験プログラムを実施して
います。

ヤギのお散歩体験は昨年から実施されたようです。
昨年はゴールデンウィークや夏休みなどの長い休みの間に実施されていました。
新潟市アグリパークの公式のSNSでも募集のお知らせをしていますので、フォローしておくとよいと思います。
新潟市アグリパークのヤギのお散歩体験、とても魅力的ですね。普段はエサやり体験ができるとのことですが、お散歩体験はさらに特別な感じがします。子ヤギも一緒に参加できるのは、より楽しさが増しそうです。貴重な体験ができるので、ぜひ行ってみたいと思いました。お散歩体験の予約はどのくらい前から必要なのでしょうか？
新潟市アグリパークでのヤギのお散歩体験はInstagramなどで告知してからすぐに予約が埋まるそうです。
なので、新潟市アグリパークの公式のInstagramで情報をチェックして体験の予約をした方が良いと思います。
また、この家畜の体験畜舎では子牛に哺乳の体験をすることができたり、母牛の乳搾りを体験することができます。ヤギのお散歩体験は実施している牧場も限られていますが、例えば、群馬県にある伊香保グリーン牧場では他の場所よりも参加が比較的しやすいのではないかと思います。
