【お知らせ】ヤギとヒツジの出産ラッシュ（新潟市）
春は多くの牧場でヤギやヒツジが出産のシーズンを着かえる時期です。
先日も新潟にある「新潟市アグリパーク」で飼育されているヤギとヒツジが出産しました。
こちらの施設では施設に訪れた見学者の方が、実際にヤギやヒツジの出産に立ち会われることもあるそうです。
生まれてから間もないヤギやヒツジの赤ちゃんを間近で観察できるのは貴重な体験です。
また、同じく新潟にある「いくとぴあ食花 動物ふれあいセンター」でも、出産を控えたヤギとヒツジに会うことができます。
これからの季節は生まれた子ヤギや子ヒツジが駆け回り、成長していく姿を見ることができるので、機会があれば、ぜひお越しください (^-^)

新潟県長岡市寺泊にある通称”魚のアメ横”
新鮮な海鮮が並んでいて、買い物だけでなく浜焼きや漁師汁など、食べ歩きを楽しむことができます。
通りに立ち昇る浜焼きの匂いが食欲をそそります。
浜焼きの海鮮類もボリュームがあり、食べ応えがあります。浜焼きも注文をすると焼き直してくれますので、焼き立ての浜焼きを食べることができます。
市場にはジェラート類を販売しているお店もあり、「シルクロード・寺泊Komachi」では地元の塩を使った潮ソフトというものもありました。
他にもかき氷やシェイク、地ビールや甘酒も売っていました。
浜焼き以外にも総菜や海鮮弁当、海鮮茶屋もあるので海鮮グルメを十分に堪能することができます。
活気もあり新鮮でボリュームのある海鮮グルメを味わうのはおススメのスポットです。

まんまタイム
まんまタイムは、動物がエサを食べる様子を観察しながら、解説を聞くことができます。
エサやり体験
エサやり体験では、実際に動物にエサを与えることができます。
ヤギやニホンザルの他、カンガルーやアフリカゾウやキリン、レッサーパンダなどの人気の動物までエサやりをすることができます。

マリンピア日本海：イワトビペンギンの特別解説
マリンピア日本海では1990年に６羽のミナミイワトビペンギンが投入されて、飼育が開始しました。
2017年の６月には飼育されていた繁殖個体は1993年6月6日生まれのオス１羽のみとなりました。
この１羽も高齢に伴うケアも必要になった為、バックヤードでの飼育に切り替わり、ミナミイワトビペンギンの展示も終了となりました。

片目は怪我で見えなくなり、もう片方も白内障を患っています。
今年で31歳になりますが、バックヤードでも天気の良い日には日光浴をして過ごしているそうです。
また、目が見えないのでエサをあげる時に壁を叩いて教えてあげたり、エサの量も体重を見ながらその日の食欲に合わせて調節しているそうです。

展示は終了になりましたが、マリンピア日本海では不定期にバックヤードにいるミナミイワトビペンギンを公開し、間近で観察しながら解説イベントを実施しています。

「新潟市アグリパーク」のふれあい体験
「新潟市アグリパーク」では農作物の収穫や家畜とのふれあい体験、収穫した野菜を使った調理体験などを行うことができます。
ここでは「新潟市アグリパーク」で実施している動物とのふれあい体験を紹介します。
動物のエサやり体験
新潟市アグリパークには乳牛、ヤギ、ヒツジを飼育していて、ヤギとヒツジには受付で牧草やニンジンなどのエサを購入して与えることができます。
ウシの乳搾り・エサやり体験
「新潟市アグリパーク」では事前予約をすることで飼育しているウシの乳搾りを体験することができます。
また、乳搾り体験の中でウシに牧草を与えることもできます。
ウシの機械搾乳の見学
アグリパークで飼育しているウシは乳牛なので、毎日の搾乳が欠かせません。
乳搾りの体験も行っていますが、それでは十分な量のミルクを搾り取れません。
なので、ポンプを使ってミルクを搾り取ります。
また、土・日・祝日のみですが、実際にスタッフが機械を使って搾乳している様子を見学することができます。
ヤギのお散歩体験
アグリパークでは動物とのふれあいの他に、ヤギとのお散歩体験をすることができます。
事前予約が必要で人数は3組程度ですが、ヤギと一緒にお散歩しながらエサやりをすることができます。
ヤギ、ヒツジ、牛の放牧
新潟市アグリパークにいる動物たちは天気の良い日は放牧場で自由にお散歩をさせます。
ヤギやヒツジは毎年春ごろには子どもを出産するので、ヤギやヒツジの赤ちゃんが元気よく放牧場を駆け回る姿を見ることができます。
また、体験畜舎が開くまでの９時頃から１０時の間にウシの放牧も行われます。
この他にも新潟市アグリパークでは様々な体験プログラムを実施していますので、機会がありましたらぜひお越し頂きたいです。

「いくとぴあ食花」の動物ふれあい体験
「いくとぴあ食花」にはウサギやモルモットなどの小動物、ヤギやヒツジ、アルパカなどの家畜、カピバラなどたくさんの動物を見たり、触れ合うことができたりします。
ここでは「いくとぴあ動物ふれあいセンター」で実施している動物とのふれあい体験を紹介します。
動物のエサやり体験
動物ふれあいセンターにいるヤギ、ヒツジ、アルパカにはセンター受付で購入できる野菜を与えることができます。
また、月に１回程度にポニーがやってきてお子さんは乗馬の体験をすることができます。ポニーにもエサやりをすることができます。
ヤギの乳搾り・ほ乳体験
「動物ふれあいセンター」では毎年、ヤギとヒツジが出産します。
生まれた子ヤギは母ヤギからお乳をもらって育ちますが、母ヤギのお乳を搾ったり、絞ったお乳を子ヤギにお乳をあげることができます。
ヒツジとアルパカの毛刈り
ヒツジとアルパカは品種改良された家畜なので、毛が抜けずに伸び続けます。
なので、毎年、暑くなる前に毛刈りが行われます。「動物ふれあいセンター」では毛刈りの様子を実演していて見学することができます。
ウサギとアルパカのお散歩
動物ふれあいセンターのウサギとアルパカは「いくとぴあ食花」にある大型庭園内でお散歩を実施しています。
お散歩を一緒に楽しんだり、ふれあいや一緒に記念撮影をすることもできます。

ヤギのお散歩体験 – 新潟市アグリパーク –
新潟市アグリパークでは動物とのふれあい体験の他、野菜の収穫体験や料理体験、
バーベキューなど自然の中での様々な体験を行うことができます。
今回は新潟市アグリパークで行われているヤギのお散歩体験について紹介します。
アグリパークにはヤギとヒツジ、乳牛が飼育されています。
普段はヤギやヒツジなどにエサやり体験でニンジンや牧草を与えることができます。
お散歩体験は予約者限定で参加することができます。
今回お散歩で登場したヤギは去年生まれて今年の６月にお母さんになったばかりの
「よもぎ」ちゃんです。
お散歩には子ヤギさんも一緒に参加してくれました (^-^)
お散歩するヤギさんにはリードが２本ついているので、ご家族で一緒に散歩することが
できます。
飼育員さんも一緒にリードを持ってくれるので、小さなお子さんでも安心して参加する
ことができます。
お散歩の参加者にはニンジンも配られ、お散歩をしながらヤギさんと楽しくふれあうこと
ができます。
ヤギのお散歩は中々体験できる場所もないので、とても貴重です。
新潟市アグリパークでは農業や畜産、食文化に関する様々な体験プログラムを実施して
います。

茶臼山動物園のイベント紹介
アルマジロのお散歩
参加日：2024年5月26日（日）
茶臼山動物園では今まで中止していたイベントが再開されていました。
今回は以前参加した「アルマジロのお散歩」を紹介したいと思います。
茶臼山動物園には５頭のアルマジロをしているそうです。
今回はアルマジロのいつき♂（４歳）が来てくれました。
人懐こい男の子でした。
アルマジロは20種類ほどいるそうですが、完全に丸まることができるのは、
ミツオビアルマジロとマタコミツオビアルマジロの種類だけだとそうです。
アルマジロの特徴や飼育されている個体の情報を聞きながら、
間近でアルマジロの様子を観察することができました。
アルマジロは展示室でも見ることができるのですが、隠れていたり動きが素早いこともあって、じっくり観察する機会が中々ありません。
広いスペースで走り回るアルマジロの姿も見ることができました。
茶臼山動物園では飼育している動物の解説やふれあいなど色々な体験を開催しています。

【動物園情報】アムールトラの引っ越し（茶臼山動物園）
2024年5月28日に「茶臼山動物園」のアムールトラがに出発しました。
29日には「日立市かみね動物園」に到着し、無事獣舎に入ったそうです。
アムールトラの新は2020年2月1日に旭川市旭山動物園で生まれました。茶臼山動物園にやってきたのは2022年4月1日でした。
ちょっぴり臆病で甘えん坊、それでいてマイペースな男の子だそうです。
茶臼山動物園にいるもう１頭のアムールトラはメスの和です。
和は秋田市大森山動物園で2019年9月29日に生まれました。茶臼山動物園に来たのは2021年の3月5日でした。
和は好奇心が旺盛でボールで遊ぶ姿を見ることもありました。
引っ越す前の土曜と日曜にはお別れ会も開催され、新くんと和ちゃんや引っ越し先の動物園に関する解説もあり、普段は食べないような特別メニューのお肉も出されていました。
5月11（土）日から27日（月）までは「ありがとう猛獣舎」期間として過去の猛獣舎の様子をパネルで展示していました。
パネルには新くんと和ちゃんの他、ライオンの臼三くんとつむぎちゃんが過去に猛獣舎にいた時の様子や獣舎で暮らしていた歴代のライオンやトラの様子をパネルで展示もしていました。
お別れ会にはたくさんの来園者の他が参加されていて、新くんと和ちゃんのお見送りをしました。
かみね動物園でもより一層活躍してくれることを期待しています (^-^)

また、毛刈りの実演会場では刈り取った毛で作られたオリジナルグッズの販売もしています。
毛刈りの実演ではヒツジやアルパカの毛刈りのビフォーアフターを見れる貴重な機会でもあります。
４月、５月はヤギやヒツジの赤ちゃんも見ることができるので、動物とのふれあいが好きな方にもおススメです！！
